I’m a father of two, William (18) and Danni (16). My dad started a family tradition when I was young, telling us the “Birthday Elephant” would decorate and leave gifts if we were good. I’ve kept this tradition alive with my own kids.
In March 2024, I moved to Florida, while my kids stayed with their mother in New Jersey. Despite the distance, I’ve maintained a wonderful relationship with their mother and would still go over to decorate the house for our kids' birthdays. However, this year, with their birthdays approaching in May and June, I realized I wouldn’t be able to decorate as I usually do.
I shared this with a friend, who happens to be a franchise owner of Card My Yard. She generously offered to decorate their front yard, and I was overwhelmed with gratitude, tears of joy streaming down my face. When she lit up the yard, my kids were absolutely thrilled and surprised. That moment had such an impact on me that, just a few weeks later, I became a Card My Yard franchise owner.
